ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The No. 1 Auburn men’s golf team are the co-champions of the U.S. Collegiate Championship, shooting a final round 3-under 285 at the Golf Club of Georgia on Sunday. Auburn (285-285-285--855) and No. 5 Wake Forest (284-285-286--855) tied as three Tigers finished in the top-20 including junior Will Long, who tied for medalist honors for the first time in his career at 6-under 210.
Seven of the top 10 teams in the nation were in the loaded field along with 12 top 25 teams.
“It’s my first win of my career here at Auburn,” Long said.
