Usually, Jason Dufner receives medals and trophies. This time, he awarded them.
Before heading to Augusta National in pursuit of the Masters’ green jacket, the former Auburn golfer returned to campus Saturday for the second annual Dufner Dash.
More than 250 runners participated in the 5K and Fun Run, supporting the Jason Dufner Foundation’s efforts to end child hunger.
“I think it’s just a huge need right here in Lee County,” Dufner said. “It’s definitely a nationwide need. For me living here in Auburn, being part of the Auburn community, I felt like it was important to be part of that and try to make things better for these kids and make a difference right here in Auburn.
