KNOXVILLE, Tenn. u2015 Tennessee evened the score with Auburn this basketball season Tuesday night, spoiling both Bruce Pearl's return to Thompson-Boiling Arena for the second straight season and Bryce Brown's solid shooting for the Tigers.
The Volunteers beat the Tigers 71-45 to avenge an 83-77 loss to Auburn to start the Southeastern Conference schedule on Jan. 2. That was Pearl's first win over his former school after losing to the Volunteers in Knoxville last season.
Brown tried to flip the score, hitting four 3-pointers and scoring 18 points.
