AUBURN, Ala. — Call it a record-setting performance and an easy win for the Auburn basketball team on Thursday night.
The Tigers hit a school-record 20 3-pointers and tied the SEC record in the process as Auburn beat former coach Cliff Ellis and Coastal Carolina 117-72.
Jared Harper set the tone with three quick 3-pointers. The Tigers just kept shooting. Reserve Will McCoy broke the school 3-point record with three minutes left.
Danjel Purifoy matched his career-high with 27 points for the second straight night.
