M. Basketball. Auburn frosh golfer Ben Schlottman named All-American

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn golfer Ben Schlottman was named Golfweek All-America honorable mention, the first freshman in school history to receive All-America honors.

Schlottman recorded the fourth lowest stroke average in Auburn history at 70.96 and also became the first freshman in school history to be named first-team All-SEC. The Advance, N.C., native was also named SEC Freshman of the Year and was the SEC Championship runner-up with an 8-under 67-65-70--202. He had four top-five finishes in eight tournaments.

"I'm extremely proud of Ben," said Auburn head coach Nick Clinard. "He works very hard and deserves everything that comes his way.
