AUBURN, Ala. – A pair of Auburn Basketball signees shined in the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic. Mustapha Heron was named MVP scoring a game-high 32 points and Jared Harper added 14 points in Louisville’s Freedom Hall on Friday.
Heron’s and Harper’s team won the game 144-132.
Heron, a 6-foot-5 guard from Waterbury, Conn., is the first five-star in Auburn history. He had 18 points at the half and scored 11 in the third quarter.
“It was real fun,” said Heron. “I just played my game, which I normally do. I like to go up and down.
