AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior Katie Frerking was named to the SEC Community Service Team for women’s basketball, the league office announced this week.
Frerking, a senior from Johns Creek, Ga., has been involved with numerous service projects during her time at Auburn. She has participated in Compassion International, adopting a child from Africa and pledging money each month as well as communicating via letters. She has also carried on the team’s involvement with Bravehearts and is a “buddy” to a young man in the program; he attends all of her home games while she works with the Miracle League when he plays.
