CONROE, Texas – After ending her career as one of the most decorated players in NCAA softball history, former Auburn third baseman Kasey Cooper has signed a professional contract with the Scrap Yard Dawgs of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF).
Cooper becomes the fifth Tiger to take to the professional ranks this summer, joining Angel Bunner (USSSA Pride), Emily Carosone (Chicago Bandits), Haley Fagan (Akron Racers) and Jade Rhodes (Scrap Yard Dawgs).
In her four stellar years on The Plains, Cooper hit .387 with 280 hits, including 67 home runs, 52 doubles and four triples, to go along with 270 RBI – the most in SEC history and eighth-most in the NCAA record books.
