John Franklin III’s days as a quarterback may not be over just yet.
Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey told AL.com that Franklin could still see time at quarterback this season following the departures of two quarterbacks this spring.
In March, Franklin made a position change to wide receiver after spending last season at quarterback.
“I think he definitely could be (the emergency option), for sure,” Lindsey said before speaking to the Atlanta Auburn Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. “He’s done it his whole life, so I think he could definitely do that if we needed him to, for sure.
