Less than a month after Kim Evans resigned as the Auburn Women’s Golf Coach, the Tigers have found a replacement. Well not really a replacement but a new coach in former Arizona State coach Melissa Luellen.
You can’t really replace a person like Kin Evans. In her 21 seasons on The Plains, Evans’ players had 96 top-three finishes in 213 tournaments. And she led the Tigers to 14 NCAA Championship appearances, including seven top-10 finishes with a third place finish in 2005 and a tie for second in the nation in 2002.
Kim Evans coached 20 All-SEC players, 13 All-Americans, and led the Tigers to eight South Eastern Conference Championships.
