The first day of the 2023 SEC Media Days is in the books. Hosted this year in Nashville, TN, SEC Media Days see all 14 conference head coaches descend upon one venue to address the media and talk about their teams. For the first time, Hugh Freeze will represent Auburn football.
Today, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey addressed the crowd and spoke on a variety of hot topics in the college football world. He spoke about NIL, of course, and the continued struggle to regulate the policy, noting that federal action is necessary to fix things.
He also touched on the changes coming in the 2024 season, announcing that next year’s media days will be held in Dallas as the conference welcomes two new members in Texas and Oklahoma.
