AUBURN, Ala. – The awards continue to pile up for Will Holland as the sophomore shortstop was named the National Player of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Coming off a monster weekend against LSU, Holland was also named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week and a National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. He is the first Auburn position player to pick up national honors since Hunter Morris in 2010.
Holland, who was also named Second Team All-SEC Monday, went 10-for-14 from the plate with six runs scored, four doubles, two home runs and six RBI in the series against the visiting Tigers.
