BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mustapha Heron has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
It is the second time the sophomore has earned player of the week honors this season. He shares the honor with Arkansas’ Daryl Macon.
Heron is the first Auburn player to earn two player of the week accolades from the conference since Korvotney Barber during the 2006-07 season. He is the fourth Tiger in program history to earn two weekly honors in the same season.
The Waterbury, Conn. native averaged a double-double for the week with 17.
