With new coaches, new personnel and a new defensive scheme, head coach Gus Malzahn made that perfectly clear when the Tigers opened spring practice back in March and he said the theme was “Count On Me.”
Trust between players. Trust between coaches. Trust all around.
Even after the dismissal this weekend of defensive end Elijah Daniel — who was arrested and charged last week on counts of burglary and theft — Malzahn feels confident in the trust among the team.
“Overall I was very pleased (with the spring),” Malzahn said Monday before the Wiregrass Regional Tiger Trek meeting at Lakepoint Resort State Park Lodge.
