Sean White’s weekend arrest for public intoxication on the heels of his two-game suspension to start the season should just about put a nail in the coffin of the redshirt junior’s Auburn career. He’ll become the latest, but hardly the only, highly-thought-of quarterback to enter and exit the Plains during the Gus Malzahn era only to find his talent undeveloped and squandered.
Jeremy Johnson (2013, 4-star), Nick Marshall (2013, 3-star), White (2014, 4-star), Tyler Queen (2015, 3-star), Woody Barrett (2016, 4-star) and John Franklin III (2016, 3-star). Those are the quarterback Gus Malzahn has recruited as Auburn head coach prior to the 2017 class.
