War Eagle, everybody! The Tigers picked up a very welcome graduate transfer from the University of Michigan this week. Cornerback Blake Countess has announced that he is transferring to Auburn. According to the SEC’s graduate rules, Countess will be eligible to play immediately. With Auburn’s best cover corner in a walking boot and crutches on A-Day, this is outstanding news!
Countess has had 30 starts for the Wolverines, and was named an honorable mention All-Big 10 cornerback last season. With Auburn suffering injuries in the secondary, and hemorrhaging transfers, Countess will likely start immediately next fall, and gives Auburn a 3rd veteran cornerback to go along with Jonathan Jones and Joshua Holsey.
