GN draft decisions: Auburn OL Avery Young

Auburn offensive lineman Avery Young knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL: Older brother Willie has played six NFL seasons as a defensive end/outside linebacker, with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.

Avery Young was a highly touted high school offensive tackle in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and he was a three-year starter for the Tigers, seeing time at guard and tackle.

Gridironnow’s Amanda Borges takes a look at the pros and cons of Young as an NFL prospect.

Young (6 feet 5, 328 pounds) made three early-season starts at right tackle as a true freshman in 2012 before suffering a knee injury that cost him the rest of the season.
