In his post game press conference, Gus Malzahn said he was extremely happy for the players and coaches after his Tigers defeated Texas A&M 26-10.
The Auburn skipper pointed to three things that were keys to the win. First he noted that, “Getting those two scores early was huge.” Then the other two keys were the play of Quarterback Jeremy Johnson and the performance of the defense.
He lauded the defense for their performance in getting to A&M’s quarterback most of the night. And although Gus said he was very proud of Johnson, he was non committal on naming a starter for next week’s game against Georgia.
