AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn Chief Operating Officer David Benedict has been named the Director of Athletics at the University of Connecticut, as announced Monday.
Benedict came to Auburn in January 2014 following successful stints in administration at the University of Minnesota, Virginia Commonwealth University, Arizona State and Long Beach State.u200b
“An opportunity as significant as the Director of Athletics at UConn was something David couldn't pass up,” Auburn Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs said. “David has a breadth of experience and a track record of success that will serve him well in his new position.
