What started out as a slow, stodgy, and frustrating game on both sides of the ball ended up turning into a showcase for the Auburn passing game as Bo Nix threw for three scores and the Tigers showed up in the second half on defense to beat Kentucky SCORE.
Nix’s three touchdowns tied a career high he set last season against Arkansas, and Auburn starts the year at 1-0 while Kentucky falls to 0-1. On the other side of the ball, a host of newcomers took a full half to come to life, but started the third quarter with consecutive three-and-outs and never really looked back.
