Well, if this game had happened last year, Samir Doughty would have been included just before tipoff on Dr. McLaughlin’s Countdown to Tipoff, as he led a ferocious Auburn attack in a 46-point win over Cal State Northridge tonight.
The Tigers blasted CSUN 116-70 behind Doughty’s career high 33 points, and never looked back after opening the game on an 11-0 run. Six total Auburn players scored double figure outputs, and J’Von McCormick posted sixteen assists on the night as the Tigers improved to 4-0 on the young season.
With Ron Artest/Metta World Peace in attendance, Auburn hit 61% of its shots in the first half, including a 91% mark from the free throw stripe.
