Former Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges is rejoining the football staff – albeit in a different role.
A school spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that Borges has been hired as an offensive analyst.
Borges, who spent four seasons as the Tigers’ offensive coordinator from 2004-07, most recently served as the offensive coordinator at San Jose State last season.
During his time at Auburn, the Tigers went 41-9, including a 13-0 season in 2004. Tommy Tuberville was the head coach during his previous tenure.
Borges, 61, also has been an offensive coordinator at Boise State, Oregon, UCLA, California, Indiana, San Diego State and Michigan during his coaching career.
