It’s been a busy week for former Auburn football running back Peyton Barber. After spending a year with the Washington Football Team, they released him Tuesday after rookie RB Jaret Patterson beat him out for the role in training camp and preseason.
According to Hog’s Haven, Washington’s coach took a liking to Barber, which is why he was signed to the practice squad just one day later:
The team released Barber during the 53-man roster cuts down on Tuesday, but signed him to the practice squad the following day when he cleared waivers.
