Former Auburn defensive end Justin Thomas-Thornton has committed to Jacksonville State.
Thomas-Thornton, now at Northwest Mississippi Community College, strongly suggested his commitment to the Gamecocks Saturday on Twitter.
Thomas-Thornton, a sophomore, announced in June he was leaving Auburn.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Thomas-Thornton played sparingly for the Tigers last season after redshirting as a freshman in 2014. His lone playing time of his Auburn career came against Louisville in the 2015 season opener.
A former four-star recruit in the 2014 class, Thomas-Thornton, who’s from Mobile, Alabama, had 19 other offers, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU, among others.
