AUBURN, Ala. u2015 All the good things they had been doing, like not turning the ball over, like finding a timely explosive pass or two, slipped away for Auburn on Saturday.
The Tigers lost three fumbles, allowed a touchdown on a punt return, lost starting center Austin Golson in the third quarter to an injury and had trouble finding a rhythm behind quarterbacks Jeremy Johnson and Sean White. Those things contributed to a frustrating 20-13 loss to Georgia on Saturday.
It was Auburn's fourth one-possession SEC loss of the season, and this one was only decided, for sure, when the Tigers failed to recover an onside kick with 1:13 remaining.
