AUBURN, Ala. u2015 Jeremy Johnson is attracting national attention as he heads into his first season as Auburn's full-time starting quarterback.
Johnson and teammate Duke Williams were named Monday to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the nation's top player.
Linebacker Cassanova McKinzy was named to the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which goes to the nation's top defender.
Johnson started one game and played in seven as Nick Marshall's backup last season. Johnson hit 28 of 37 passes for 436 yards and three touchdowns.
