AUBURN, Ala. u2015 Jeremy Johnson has added another prestigious preseason honor on his way to becoming Auburn's full-time starting quarterback.
Johnson was included on the watch list Thursday for the Davey O'Brien Award, which goes to the nation's top quarterback. Cam Newton won the award in 2010. Johnson is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the top college player.
Coach Gus Malzahn named Johnson the starting quarterback in the spring after he served the last two seasons as Nick Marshall's backup.
