Florida fans found a new way to taunt Auburn players Saturday, which forced the Tigers to take immediate action.
Gators fans tossed dollar bills at the Tigers at the end of Florida’s 72-66 win with the chant of “FBI” being audible in the O’Connell Center. Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl made sure the money would not cause issues going forward.
“It was real money, and I think there’s $5 or $6 that are out there. Because you guys know we’re compliant, we’ve actually turned that money over to compliance,” Pearl told AL.com. “Really. I don’t know, it was five or six bucks, but our people have the money.
