Expectations big for Dhaquille Williams both on and off the field

The Tigers’ wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator simply challenged Williams to be the best he can be, both on and off the field.

“If Duke can be the best player he can be, he’s probably going to be the best wide receiver in the country,” Craig said last week.

That shouldn’t be too difficult for Williams, the Tigers’ leading receiver from a year ago, as he was already considered among the top receivers in the nation.

After transferring in from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College — where he was the top-rated JUCO player in the country — Williams exploded onto the scene for Auburn last season while dealing with some lofty expectations.
