On Wednesday afternoon, another one was checked off the list.
Auburn’s Emily Carosone and Kasey Cooper were both named first-team All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. It marks the first time in school history two players were named to the first-team in the same year.
Though both players were humbled and honored to receive the award, they were quick to share the credit.
“People see us, however it takes, all 25 of us,” Cooper said. “Carosone is on the other end of the diamond from me and she’s always there coming up with awesome plays.
