Cornerback T.J. Davis ‘ahead of schedule’ with ACL rehab

Davis’ road back, however, may be shorter than expected.

According to Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, Davis is “ahead of schedule right now” with his rehab after undergoing surgery to repair the ligament in his knee in late March.

“T.J. is a guy that he’s one of those kids that’s very resilient,” Malzahn said Monday before speaking at the Wiregrass Region Tiger Trek meeting in Eufaula. “He’s very tough-minded; he has his mind set that he’s going to be back. He is ahead of schedule right now with his rehab, which is very encouraging.”

The 6-foot, 200-pound Davis suffered the injury just before Auburn’s spring break in March and underwent surgery.
