Chris Stone breaks freshman record at Texas Relays

AUBURN, Ala. – Christopher Stone broke a 12 year old Auburn freshman record in the decathlon with 7,300 points on Thursday at the 90th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. His mark also ranks fourth all-time on Auburn’s outdoor performers list.

Stone got things started early with strong marks on day one. In the 100 meter, Stone ran an 11.28 to score 799 points and then followed up with a 22-0.75/6.72m in the long jump. In the shot put, Stone threw 40-2.25/12.25m for 622 points. He finished seventh in the high jump with a strong 6-5.
