BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior right-hander Casey Mize has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The award marks the third of the season for Mize, who shares the honor with Florida’s Brady Singer. He becomes the first SEC pitcher to earn the recognition three times in a season since Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson did it in 2016.
Mize has also been named one of nine National Players of the Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, marking his second time to receive the recognition this season.
