AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn guard Bryce Brown was named one of 30 finalists for the Naismith Trophy on Wednesday. Named in honor of Dr. James Naismith, the creator of the game of basketball, the award is given annually to the top men’s college basketball player.
Brown, one of just three SEC players on the list, currently leads the Tigers and is No. 6 in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game.
“It means a lot to me,” Brown said. “It just goes to show that over this season, this past off-season, the work I’ve put in has finally paid off.
