INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Haley Black didn’t just top the school record in the 100 fly, she destroyed it.
“I came in knowing I could faster than I did this morning,” Black said. “I really had my eyes on the school record.”
The junior from Prince George, B.C., Canada, just missed the school record Friday morning with a prelims time of 51.47.
Back in the pool on Friday night in lane 4 for 100 fly consolation finals at the 2017 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Black went out in 23.62 and came back in 27.
