Haley Black missed the school record in the 100 fly by .01 seconds and will swim in the middle of the pool during tonight’s consolation finals at the 2017 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium. It will be the first of two events for Black during the finals session as the 200 medley relay team qualified 16th.

Black, a junior, touched in 51.47 to tie for ninth in prelims. Her swim was good enough for second in her heat and lowered her personal best by .33 seconds.

Olivia Scott holds the school record at 51.
