AUBURN, Ala. - Sophomore right-hander Cole Lipscomb tossed his first career complete game on Friday as Auburn baseball defeated Ole Miss 3-1 in the opening game of the series at Plainsman Park.
“Every outing [Lipscomb] seems to get a little better and be able to go a little deeper,” Auburn head coach Sunny Golloway said. “I was glad to see him finish it. It got a little tight and we got a little worried. We had a lefty and a righty in the pen. I wish we didn’t have to even get them up, but he was able to get it done.
