AUBURN, Ala. – Senior first baseman Daniel Robert extended his on-base streak to 24 games with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate including a three-run double, but Auburn baseball fell to Samford 7-6 Tuesday at Plainsman Park.
“I just told them that it was my fault,” Auburn head coach Butch Thompson said. “I told them that I just didn’t think we were very focused to start the game. We got four disadvantage counts with balls that were hit hard in the first inning. We battled and I think we’re going to do that.
