HOOVER, Ala. -- Cole Lipscomb started fast and Auburn improved its post-season resume Tuesday at the Southeastern Conference baseball tournament at the Hoover Met.
Lipscomb allowed four hits in 7 2/3 innings to help Auburn to a 6-3 victory over Kentucky to strengthen its case to make the NCAA Tournament. Auburn improved to 35-22, advanced out of the single-elimination phase of the tournament and set itself up to possibly make even more noise in Wednesday's 4:30 p.m. game against top-ranked LSU.
