AUBURN, Ala. – Freshman Conor Davis drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth inning to clinch the 2016 Auburn Fall Classic for the Blue team Saturday at Plainsman Park.
Welby Malczewski earned the win surrendering two hits and zero runs in 1.1 innings.
“I think sitting back for a second day in a row, to feel the old adage of pitching and defense, and how much focus we have put on that in 13 months and to actually see it was great,” Auburn Head Coach Butch Thompson said. “There were game-changing defensive plays.
