“This is a great honor for Cole,” Auburn head coach Sunny Golloway said. “He’s a terrific young man that has had a tremendous season. To be named one of the four best starting pitchers in this league is a great honor for him. I’m really proud of him.”
Lipscomb posted a 7-2 record during the regular season with a 2.38 ERA, the third lowest in the conference.
“I didn’t even know that I was in the running for this award, so this is pretty cool,” Lipscomb said. “There are some really great pitchers in this league, so this feels good.
