BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Auburn baseball was eliminated from the 2015 SEC Baseball Tournament on Thursday with an 11-2 loss to Florida at the Hoover Met.
“Reflecting on the tournament, the kids did a really good job of coming in winning and playing hard-fought contests,” Auburn head coach Sunny Golloway said. “Really two innings - the six run inning against LSU yesterday and the eight run inning today. That’s tough for any team to overcome.”
JJ Schwarz’s sac fly to right put the Gators on top 1-0 in the second. In the third Florida stretched its lead with eight two-out runs to chase Auburn starter Dalton Rentz (L, 3-4).
