AUBURN, Ala. u2015 It was, said Anfernee Grier, a crazy inning.
You know, the one in which Auburn had four straight hits, but hadn't scored a run; the inning in which the Tigers' fifth straight hit landed over the left field wall, courtesy of Grier.
Grier's 3-run homer and a masterful complete-game pitching performance by Cole Lipscomb carried Auburn past No. 22 Kentucky 5-2 Friday night in Plainsman Park.
Auburn nearly ran itself out of the decisive fourth inning when the first two base runners were tagged out on the same play.
