AUBURN, Ala. – Sophomore Austin Wiley totaled 8 points, 8 rebounds and a block in 20 minutes as the United States won the bronze medal with a 96-72 victory over Spain in the FIBA U19 World Cup Cario, Egypt at the Cairo Stadium on Sunday.
Wiley shot 3-of-6 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line with half of his eight rebounds on the offensive glass.
Wiley was the only American to average a double-double and one of seven in the U19 World Cup with 10.3 points and 10.9 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per game for the tournament as the United States went 6-1.
