The biggest surprise of the day for many in Auburn, as well as around the country, was Auburn center and reigning Rimington Award winner Reese Dismukes was undrafted after seven rounds were complete.
Not only did Dismukes not get drafted, but seven other centers were picked, one in every round except the fifth during the three days of the draft. The first center to come off the board was Florida State’s Cameron Erving, who went to the Cleveland Browns with the 19th overall selection. Hroniss Grasu and Andy Gallik, both Rimington finalists, were selected in the third and sixth rounds, respectively.
