After advancing to the final with a throw of 53 feet, 1/4 inch, Dincoff was able to throw her personal best in the first round of the final with 55-0. That put her in ninth place, one spot away from the podium and All-America status.
“I was thinking too much, and it didn’t come together for me,” the junior thrower said. “It was a blessing to just get into the finals, though. I PR’d and did the very best that I possibly could do, so that’s all I could ask for.”
Southern Illinois’ Raven Saunders won with a throw of 60-2 1/2 on her last attempt.
