AUBURN, Ala. — At the beginning of spring practice in late February, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn announced that the Tigers would be without two main receivers, Kyle Davis and Darius Slayton, for at least part of spring.
Slayton is back in practice taking limited reps after hernia surgery, but Malzahn said Tuesday night Davis may not make it back this spring at all because of personal reasons. Malzahn also said John Franklin III will work primarily as a receiver for the rest of spring ball.
“He looks natural,” Tigers wide receiver Ryan Davis said of Franklin at receiver.
