Auburn women’s golf is the Southeastern Conference Champion after beating Mississippi State today at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Hoover, AL. It’s the first time the Tigers have been SEC champions in nearly ten years, the last time being when they won in both 2011 and 2012.
On their road to the SEC Title, Auburn women’s golf knocked off Vanderbilt in the quarter-finals and Alabama in the semi-finals. The No. 3 Tigers swept the No. 5 Bulldogs to earn the tenth SEC Title in program history, but it’s the first championship for Coach Melissa Luellen:
“They’re a very mature group, a very experienced group,” Auburn coach Melissa Luellen said on SEC Network.
