AUBURN, Ala. – Junior Janiah McKay led four players in double-figures as the Auburn women’s basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 70-44 win over Xavier University of Louisiana on Thursday night at Auburn Arena.
The Tigers (9-3) won their sixth straight game to wrap up non-conference play and head into the SEC season having won all six of those games by double digits. Auburn’s six-game winning streak is its longest since earning nine straight victories during the 2012-13 season.
“We played much better defense in the second half,” Auburn head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy said.
