Looks like it’s all but official — Auburn will play Purdue in the Music City Bowl in Nashville on December 28th.
What do we know about the Boilermakers? Well, they beat Ohio State by about forty points in West Lafayette earlier this year, and their entire season has been bolstered by the inspiring story of Tyler Trent, a fan stricken with cancer. Those are just the surface level observations, as the Boilers will provide an interesting challenge despite the 6-6 record.
Purdue played three ranked teams this year and beat all three (two of them by a combined 46 points), but then lost to Eastern Michigan and began the season 0-3.
